Q: The pet doesn't react when Claude Code runs

Make sure the Beepo hook is installed in ~/.claude/settings.json and that Beepo is running (look in the menu bar). Re-run the connect step from the Beepo menu if needed.

Q: I'm not getting notifications

Check System Settings > Notifications > Beepo and make sure notifications are allowed. Beepo notifies you by default, even while you're in the terminal; if you've turned on "Silent when terminal focused," it stays quiet while a terminal app is frontmost - switch to another app, or turn that option off in Beepo's settings.

Setup (one time, ~1 minute)

Launch Beepo. A small pet appears in your menu bar (top-right of the screen).
When prompted, allow notifications so Beepo can tell you when a task finishes.
Add the Beepo hook to Claude Code. Open the Beepo menu and follow the "Connect to Claude Code" steps, or paste the provided snippet into your ~/.claude/settings.json. This is what lets Claude Code tell Beepo a task finished.

Beepo를 실행하세요. 작은 펫이 메뉴바(화면 오른쪽 위)에 나타납니다.
안내가 뜨면 알림을 허용하세요. 그래야 작업이 끝났을 때 Beepo가 알려줄 수 있습니다.

That's it. Send a prompt in Claude Code and watch the pet start walking; when the turn ends it celebrates and you get a notification like "my-project - Done · 2m 14s".

이게 전부입니다. Claude Code에 프롬프트를 보내면 펫이 걷기 시작하고, 한 차례가 끝나면 펫이 기뻐하며 "my-project - 완료 · 2분 14초" 같은 알림이 옵니다.

What the pet's states mean

펫의 상태가 뜻하는 것

Idle - nothing running.
Working - Claude Code is on a task (dots animate below the pet).
Done - the task finished (sparkles + happy face), then back to idle.
Error - the task hit an API error (rate limit, server error, etc.).
Confused - Claude is waiting for your input.

쉬는 중 - 실행 중인 작업이 없습니다.
작업 중 - Claude Code가 작업을 진행하고 있습니다(펫 아래로 점이 움직입니다).
완료 - 작업이 끝났습니다(반짝임 + 환한 표정). 곧 다시 쉬는 상태로 돌아갑니다.
오류 - 작업이 API 오류를 만났습니다(사용량 한도, 서버 오류 등).
대기 중 - Claude가 입력을 기다리고 있습니다.

If you run several Claude Code sessions at once, the pet shows the most important state across all of them - it stays "working" until every session has finished.

Claude Code 세션을 여러 개 동시에 돌리면, 펫은 그중 가장 중요한 상태를 보여줍니다. 모든 세션이 끝날 때까지 "작업 중" 상태를 유지하죠.

Click the pet to open the menu. You can rename the pet, toggle the completion sound, stay silent while you're focused on the terminal, launch Beepo at login, and skip notifications for very short tasks.

펫을 클릭하면 메뉴가 열립니다. 펫 이름 바꾸기, 완료음 켜고 끄기, 터미널에 집중하는 동안 조용히 두기, 로그인 시 Beepo 자동 실행, 아주 짧은 작업은 알림 건너뛰기를 설정할 수 있습니다.

Claude Code를 실행해도 펫이 반응하지 않아요

Make sure the Beepo hook is installed in ~/.claude/settings.json and that Beepo is running (look in the menu bar). Re-run the connect step from the Beepo menu if needed.

Very short tasks don't notify

아주 짧은 작업은 알림이 오지 않아요

By default Beepo skips notifications for tasks under 10 seconds (so trivial edits don't spam you). Change the threshold to "Always notify" in Beepo's settings.

Beepo는 기본적으로 10초 미만의 작업은 알림을 건너뜁니다(사소한 편집으로 알림이 쏟아지지 않도록요). Beepo 설정에서 기준을 "항상 알림"으로 바꾸세요.

How do I remove the Claude Code hook?

Claude Code 훅은 어떻게 제거하나요?

Use the uninstall snippet from Beepo's menu, or remove the Beepo entries from ~/.claude/settings.json yourself. Beepo never edits that file for you.

Beepo 메뉴의 제거 스니펫을 사용하거나, ~/.claude/settings.json에서 Beepo 항목을 직접 지우세요. Beepo는 그 파일을 대신 수정하지 않습니다.
